I have been teaching since 2006, specialising in English as a Second Language both in Bournemouth and abroad in Sicily. In 2014, I founded an online English tuition company which taught professionals from around the world. Pursuing my passion for creativity, I earned a Master's degree in Creative Writing and Publishing from Bournemouth University in 2017. I've also worked in Adult Community Education, teaching Creative Writing, English, and Employability skills. In 2021, I joined AUB as a Study Skills Tutor, where I continue to support students in achieving their academic goals.
As a member of the Study Skills team in Student Services, I provide tailored support to enhance students' academic performance, independent study, and personal organisation. Through 1:1 tutorials, open workshops, and customised in-course sessions, I assist with planning assignments, structuring essays, developing critical thinking and writing skills, boosting academic resilience, and effectively using AI to complement learning.
I believe in a style of teaching which values and empowers the individual, putting them at the heart of the academic experience. I am committed to a facilitative, dialogic, and compassionate approach, striving to create an equitable higher education environment for all students.
