Overview
With over 20 years teaching experience, leading first year experience for many years now enhancing professional industry skills to all years and leading the final graduating third years. By prioritising a student centred approach to undergraduate teaching is critical to Claire's ethos of bringing relevance to a student's experience in Higher Educational Learning. Enabling students to find their own fit after graduation is and important part of Claire's work which focuses on enabling students to access employment and creating networking opportunities with industry professionals. Claire contributes to specialist delivery on several AUB courses.
Past work developing digital learning spaces has led Claire to a space, new to the University and is now involved in the creation of the first modelmaking degree apprenticeship. She is now involved with creating quality creative apprenticeships for the AUB and delivering the degree to the modelmaking industry.
Claire's teaching specialisms are in the creative economy, employment and collaboration through teamwork. It's due to this that Claire now leads all of the course's units that relate to employment and external networking in the creative industries.

Research
Research Interests and Projects
Building on her MA research about creative labour and strategies for successful teamworking, Claire has continued to embedded these into undergraduate delivery with successful results in student satisfaction and employment. Claire is interested in exploring the relationship of creative labour within the creative industries and building a clearer picture of the structure and functioning of the creative industries.
Professional Engagement
The recognition of the modelmaking discipline through both value and public presence is something Claire is keen to develop through the course reputation and her own networking reputation. Claire is a prominent networker in the industry, developing relationships that benefit both students, graduates, alumni and professionals. She builds on this through Knowledge exchange projects.
