As Senior Access and Participation Officer, I lead our Pre-16 outreach work creating pathways to university for underrepresented groups. I manage the Being a Boy project, a funded workshop series exploring masculinity with young men, Saturday Art School Funded Places, and our community contacts.
I’m the main contact for AUB’s Young Carers Bursary, meeting with AUB students who receive this bursary throughout their studies. I share useful opportunities to help them make the most of university life and provide further information on support avaiable at AUB.
As a creative I have worked in a variety of industries including education, events, marketing, and non-profit. I have previously worked within the Access and Participation team as Coordinator, working across all of our access projects.
In my spare time, I am a practising contemporary artist, working with with mixed media and collage to discuss themes around female identity and popular culture. I engage in the local arts community, volunteering for creative organisations and I'm a studio artist at Haviland Studios in Bournemouth. I am also a keen runner and regularly enter running events in the Dorset and Hampshire area.
