Jessica Hutchings

Jessica first found her aptitude for hair and make-up after completing the AUB short course in Makeup for TV, Film and Theatre in 2011. Four years on, Jessica graduated BA(Hons) Make-up for Media and Performance in 2015 with a growing passion for both wig knotting and beauty editorial make-up. Shortly after graduating Jessica became a certified beauty artist and trainer for Benefit Cosmetics, which encouraged her to start her own freelance bridal business.

For several years, Jessica was invited to design the hair and make-up for Bristol fashion week, which included making bespoke hair pieces and switches for the models. Jessica has also received credits in the online magazines Atlas and Noctis for her make-up on editorial shoots.

Jessica joined the make-up team at AUB in 2018, and after three years as Technician Demonstrator on the course she was promoted to Senior Technician, where she oversees all Technical and Health and Safety aspects of the course. She continues to share her knowledge and enthusiasm to students on a daily basis.
