I am an interdisciplinary artist based in Glasgow. My practice is primarily engaged with film and moving image. I hold a First class degree in Photography from Edinburgh College of Art including student exchange study at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, USA. I also hold MFA from Glasgow School of Art and recently completed my practice-based PhD World-making and Un-doing: Looking at minor cultural forms through moving image practice at Edinburgh College of Art.
My films and artworks have been shown nationally and internationally including films commissioned by LUX moving image, Collective Gallery Edinburgh, and The Centre for Research Collections at Edinburgh University.
I am Course Leader for the MA Film Practice (Online) with AUB. Prior to this role I was a visiting lecture at Glasgow School of Art and taught on both undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in contemporary practice and cinema at Edinburgh College of Art.
Focusing on marginalised or liminal places and events my work is concerned with how contemporary art practice, specifically moving image works, can employ conceptual and physical processes of ‘undoing’ to engage with overlooked and undertheorised sites, events, images, and individuals.
