Over the past decade, I have worked across performance, community, and educational settings within the arts sector as a dance and arts specialist. My professional experience as a performer, maker, teacher, and project manager has given me a deep understanding of the sector’s evolving landscape and the diverse skills required to thrive within it.
I am passionate about fostering connections between the arts, health, and local communities to create meaningful impact within the field of creative health. My practice and research are driven by a desire to develop innovative approaches that bridge art and science through collaboration, consultancy, and skill-sharing.
As a Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Dance degree at Arts University Bournemouth, my teaching and research explore the intersections of dance, health, and well-being. My current research focuses on the psychological experiences of female (AFAB) dancers in relation to hormonal health and dance practice. I recently completed my MSc in Sport and Exercise (Dance) Psychology, where I expanded my research methods and pedagogical approaches to support the development of industry-relevant and evidence-based curricula.
Beyond academia, I work as the Community Programme Manager at the Forest Arts Centre (part of Hampshire Cultural Trust), leading on outreach, programme design, and delivery. I am committed to championing the value of the Arts in community settings and to creating opportunities for people to access and experience the transformative, connective power of creativity and movement.
