My interests lie in participatory action research that can be utilised as a catalyst for positive changes in society.
I'm being funded by AUB for a portrait project photographing menopausal women with a diverse range of stories to share. The purpose of the project is broad; fundamentally it's a documentation of the current experience of menopause in the UK. It's also aimed at raising awareness, removing stigma and continuing a discussion on how the UK can better care for these women. Leading on from this, I'm in the process of securing funding from Research England through AUB. This research will be in collaboration with the women photographed, as well as other artists and women experiencing menopause. We'll be working together to focus the discussion about menopause.
