Pete McKinley

Pete is the Operations Manager for AUB Open Campus and is responsible for devising an exciting and engaging provision of courses that promote life-long learning and create additional revenue streams for the university under the Open Campus umbrella. He uses trends and market research to create courses that our students want to study and strives to make AUB the standout provider of short courses in the local and the wider national conurbations. With the help of his brilliant team, he implements strategy, handles logistics, and ultimately delivers AUB’s comprehensive provision of over 75 courses, comprising of Evening and Weekend Courses and Saturday Art School which run termly, plus annual Summer Courses.

As well as overseeing AUBO Operations, Pete is a highly skilled and trained photographer. He discovered his passion for photography after an accomplished career in the Royal Navy, and he puts his skills to good use as one of our tutors for the Digital Photography – Essential techniques short evening course. Pete’s photographic background and specialisms are both wide-ranging and diverse, and he loves to share his knowledge and passion for photography with his students.
