Overview
During his MA in Graphic Design, Rich investigated the notion of Tension through Force Dynamics – a branch of cognitive linguistics. Through this investigation he explored the use of metaphors and semiotics to express forces, which culminated into a typeface and interactive installation using Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo.
Rich’s practice involves working across a range of projects, and includes the production of iOS Applications; CMS, WordPress, and HTML websites; 3D and 2D animations, and touch screen interfaces, right through to brand identities and printed publications.

Research Interests and Projects
Rich continues to explore his interest surrounding screen based design and interactivity. He's currently involved in a number of projects including an iOS photography application surrounding deferred gratification and a drawing machine - terraPen.
